I will be seeing you

I left New York City in August, 2018 after calling it my home for 5 incredible years. Even though it was time for me to go, I left with a heavy heart. It is unbelievable how much that city means to me. I have come to understand that the majority of people don’t understand the traits the city left in me when I try to explain. So I will just leave it at that. But I can promise you that I will write about NYC now and then on this blog. Probably more now than then. NYC will always mean so much to me. I can’t wait to go back!

”New York has given me the most beautiful storm I could ever imagine dancing—and fighting—through. New York has shaped me into the person I have become today, and I am forever grateful.

I am left with a bittersweet feeling as I am saying “goodbye” to the city that introduced me to friends that became my family, in a city that became my home. I have enjoyed every step of the way: good and bad, I have experienced all the joys that life has offered me, and grabbed every opportunity that I have gotten along the way.

Even though this is the end of something beautiful, I know it is the start of an even greater beginning. This will be the first page of the new chapter I am writing with the people I have missed every day for the past 5 years. Because in the end… Home is where the heart is.

New York, I will be seeing you.”
