I found this text that I wrote back in 2015. Just wanted to share it with you as it is still so accurate to me to this day. New York will always be my 2nd home.
”People tend to ask me how I could ever move to New York City all by myself without knowing anyone. The answer for me is very simple: I have a dream, and I chose to follow it. In my case my dream is in New York, and with a passion for traveling and a love for The United States, it was the right time for me to pack up my bags for about 2 years ago. I could not let this opportunity pass as I am positive I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. Yes, some days are better than others, but there are so many great days and nights that will knock the bad ones out. I think the city has a magical spell on me. A spell that is really hard to explain, but I am obsessed with this place!
Then again, home is where the heart is, and my heart will always be in Oslo, but for now, New York City is my home and holds the other part of my heart.”
